Legal Assistant (Mandarin Speaker)
Job summary
A reputable company in Petaling Jaya is seeking a Legal Assistant who is fluent in Mandarin. The ideal candidate will manage contract drafting, handle legal issues, and advise on dispute resolution. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in law and a Bachelor's degree are required. This is a full-time role with a focus on legal compliance and contract management.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of working experience, preferably with in-house experience.
- Good command of written and spoken English, Mandarin, and Malay.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and revise contracts related to the business.
- Handle legal issues and propose mitigating solutions.
- Advise on dispute resolution and coordinate advice from external solicitors.
- Prepare standard legal contract templates.
- Keep management updated on legislative changes.

Responsibilities
- To draft, review and revise contracts related to our business (e.g. letters of appointment, development agreements) both in English and in Mandarin
- To handle legal issues arising from our business and regulations governing our business and propose appropriate mitigating solutions
- To advise on dispute resolution and coordinate advice from external solicitors
- Prepare standard legal contract templates and precedents for the company
- Keeping management updated on latest legislative and regulatory changes.
Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (Min 2nd Upper)
- At least 2-3 years of working experience (preferably with in-house experience)
- Good command of written and spoken English, Mandarin and Malay
