is seeking a highly experienced Software Embedded Architect for Windows to lead architecture strategy for Windows-based embedded software in test and measurement products. This role is responsible for defining architecture strategy, driving platform modernization, ensuring secure and reliable product execution, and guiding engineering teams across the full software development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related technical discipline.
• Typically 10+ years of experience in embedded software, firmware, Windows system-level development, or related roles.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ and object-oriented design with hands-on Windows development.
• Experience architecting Windows-based embedded systems and cybersecurity considerations.
• Hands-on with Windows Embedded platforms and long lifecycle Windows products.
• Knowledge of Windows architecture, services, driver interfaces, installers and recovery.
• Familiarity with hardware interfaces (I2C, UART, SPI, USB, PCIe, Ethernet, TCP/IP).
• Experience with Windows tools, CI/CD, testing, and release practices.
• Ability to lead technical strategy and translate business needs into architecture.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder alignment skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and own Windows Embedded software architecture and platform roadmap.
• Provide senior leadership in system design, scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Architect and guide development of secure, high-performance Windows applications and libraries.
• Lead Windows system-level design, including hardware-software integration and diagnostics.
• Drive platform modernization with build systems, DevOps, CI/CD, installers, and image customization.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, QA, security, manufacturing, service, and product teams.
• Guide security and SBOM readiness and secure software development practices.
• Mentor engineers and grow capability across Windows Embedded teams.
• Own platform quality, reliability, security, and customer-focused execution.
