Job summary

A global technology powerhouse in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a skilled IT professional to manage Windows Server operations. The ideal candidate will have over 2 years of experience and strong troubleshooting skills. Responsibilities include supporting server incidents, performing upgrades, and liaising with vendors. Candidates should also possess good communication skills in English and Cantonese and be willing to work 24x7 shifts. This role offers competitive allowances for shifts and public holiday work.

Qualifications

• More than 2 years of relevant working experience in Windows Servers.
• Experience in sizeable company and ITIL preferable.

• Identify, diagnose, and resolve incidents on Windows Server platforms.
• Perform regular server operations like setup, upgrades, and monitoring.
• Liaise with vendors for IT Server operations and maintenance.

Description and Requirements

Job Descriptions

• Identifying, diagnosing, and resolving the escalated incident in Windows Server platforms
• Escalated the case to L3 Infrastructure/application team if need
• Perform the regular server operations such as setup, upgrade, patches deployment, monitoring and health checks, backup and restore etc…
• Responsible for system troubleshooting and performance turning.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentations.
• Providing support on issues related to servers, hypervisors and storages
• Liaise with external vendors for IT Server operations and maintenance

You bring

• Bachelor in Computer Science or related discipline;
• Holder of ITIL Foundation or above is a plus
• >2 years relevant working experiences in Windows Servers, VMware, x86 servers and storage
• Sizeable company and ITIL experience is preferable
• Self-motivated, quick learner, Can-do attitude and able to work under pressure
• Knowing in SAN infrastructure, SiteScope, AD and VMware is a plus
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Cantonese
• Willing to work on 24x7 shift rotation & on public holidays (PH), will be compensated with shift allowance and time off for working on PH
