Job summary

Hong Leong Bank is seeking a skilled Risk/Regulatory Reporting Analyst in Malaysia to oversee the validation, reporting and inter-department alignment of MFRS 9 ECL frameworks for domestic and overseas operations. You will ensure timely disclosures to management and external bodies, drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, actuarial science or risk management.
• Knowledge of MFRS 9 / IFRS 9 is required.
• Strong data skills: SQL, SAS or advanced Excel.
• Sharp analytical thinking for portfolio and trend analysis.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely, accurate information submitted to management, BNM, rating agencies and auditors.
• Validate MFRS9 ECL provisions for loans/financings.
• Improve reporting processes and workflows.
• Lead MFRS9 matters across departments and overseas branches.
• Handle additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
