A local restaurant in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a kitchen staff member for culinary operations. Candidates should have a diploma in Culinary Arts and 1-2 years of experience in F&B operations, especially in handling pork. The role requires strong knife skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure. Staff meals, performance bonuses, and flexible working hours are offered, including overtime during busy periods.
Min. Qualification - Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent. Min. 1-2 years experience in F&B / Kitchen Operations. Knife handling and butchery skills. Basic food safety and hygiene knowledge. Experience in food production is a plus, but not mandatory. Training will be provided. Experience in Western cuisine. Able to work independently. Customer Service Oriented, able to work as a team and work under pressure. Attention to details and willingness to follow procedures. Willing to work long hours, including weekends and public holidays. Willing to work in a NON HALAL restaurant, serving pork. Able to communicate in English and Mandarin. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
5.5 days per week. (Restaurant is closed on every Thursday). OT may be required, especially during weekends’ dinner service.
