Designation: Welding Technician (MIG)
Job Summary
The Welding Technician (MIG) is responsible for performing welding activities in accordance with approved drawings, quality specifications, and safety standards. The role supports production operations by delivering high-quality welds, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform welding works in accordance with approved drawings, work orders, and quality specifications.
- Examine and measure workpieces to ensure conformance with specifications.
- Identify potential welding issues and propose or implement corrective solutions.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, welding symbols, written instructions, and diagrams to meet welding requirements.
- Work closely with the Supervisor to ensure welding activities are carried out in a controlled and safe manner.
- Perform MIG welding and, when required, TIG and other welding processes.
- Coordinate with the Production team to ensure efficient workflow and installations.
- De‑burr and grind metal surfaces as necessary to achieve the required finish and surface texture.
- Maintain and continuously improve housekeeping standards in the work area.
- Support training activities as and when required.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time.
Role Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of direct working experience as a welder, preferably in MIG welding equipment and procedures.
- Ability to read and understand work orders, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety procedures related to welding operations.
- Physically fit to perform all duties related to welding activities.
- Team player with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.

- Demonstrate the ability to complete assigned welding tasks with minimal errors while meeting quality standards and production deadlines.
- Maintain safe workplace practices by adhering strictly to the Company’s Health & Safety procedures at all times.
