Job summary

PEC (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Welding Inspector to perform material receiving inspection, weld joint examinations and quality control across fabrication and welding operations.

The role involves non-destructive testing, inspection reporting, and coordinating with client inspectors to ensure compliance with design specs and client requirements. You will carry out MT/PT/RT examinations, ferrite number, hardness tests, visual inspection, line checks and hydrotest witness, while monitoring

Qualifications

• Certified welding inspector with relevant inspection credentials.

Responsibilities

• Carry out material receiving inspection
• Select and mark weld joints for MT/PT/RT examinations
• Carry out Ferrite No., Hardness, MT/PT test on weld joints
• Blow clean pipe internal inspection
• Prepare inspection reports
• Carry out line checking and punch-listing on lines prior to hydrotesting
• Liaise with client inspector on inspection point(s)
• Witness hydrostatic tests
• Monitor consumables (fillers & electrodes) control & welders daily work schedule
• Conduct visual inspection of weldment
