Job summary

United Overseas Bank Limited (UOB) in Malaysia seeks an experienced Relationship Manager to grow a portfolio of high-value clients and provide tailored financial solutions. You will build long-term relationships, cross-sell banking products, conduct needs analyses, and collaborate with product, credit, and legal teams to ensure compliant, client-centric outcomes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field.
3-5 years of relationship management experience in banking or financial services, ideally corporate or high-net-worth clients.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing client portfolios.
Strong understanding of banking products, services, and financial markets.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to build rapport, influence, and negotiate effectively.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
High integrity and ethical conduct.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Relevant professional certifications (e.g., FIMM, PCE, CEILI) are an added advantage.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients, understanding their financial goals and risk profiles.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, cross-selling and up-selling banking products and services.
Conduct financial needs analysis and provide expert advice aligned with client objectives and regulatory requirements.
Prepare and present proposals, structuring complex financial products and negotiating terms to secure new business.
Monitor client portfolios, conduct reviews, and provide updates on market trends and product performance.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including product specialists, credit analysts, and legal teams, to deliver comprehensive client solutions.
Ensure compliance with all internal policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
Resolve client inquiries and issues promptly and efficiently, maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.
Stay abreast of industry developments, competitor activities, and economic trends to identify potential impacts on clients and the business.
