Job summary

BACFREE is offering an internship in our laboratory for water quality testing and related tasks. You will perform tests on water samples, verify results, and print certificates, while keeping the log sheets and reporting any abnormalities to the Technical Director.

The role includes weekly in-house water tests, inventory maintenance, calibration list upkeep, and adherence to ISO procedures. English and Bahasa Malaysia proficiency are required to work independently and manage time effectively.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least a Certificate or Diploma in Lab technician, Chemistry, Bio-technology, or any discipline in Science.
• Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia
• Must be able to work independently and manage time well.

Responsibilities

• Perform water quality tests (Turbidity, Color, pH, Hardness and Coliform; and other requirements specified) for all water samples collected after installations, for preventive scheduled and maintenance services, and due to customer complaints.
• Verify water quality test results, key in the results, and print out certificates
• Notify the Technical Director on any abnormalities detected
• Perform weekly water quality tests of in-house ROW and record results in the log sheet
• Report to Technical Director of any unusual findings
• Maintain a monthly inventory of laboratory stocks, including chemicals and other accessories
• Upkeep and maintain the Calibration Master List for laboratory equipment
• Upkeep and maintain the condition of laboratory equipment
• Upkeep and maintain all ISO procedures related to Laboratory division
• Maintain ongoing project weekly schedule for engineers and technicians
