Job description

Location: Pasir Gudang, Johor.

Purpose of the Role:

The Warehouse & Logistics Team Leader is responsible for ensuring efficient logistics operations across SEA, including warehousing and domestic distribution. The role also supports logistics optimization initiatives to meet customer and company requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise inbound and outbound shipment activities to ensure on-time delivery aligned with production schedules and business requirements.
  • Manage logistics operations efficiently through careful planning and execution.
  • Source, develop, and optimize logistics routes for outbound shipments to reduce lead time and freight costs.
  • Monitor and control premium freight usage.
  • Verify freight invoices and ensure timely submission to Finance for payment.
  • Oversee 3PL outsourcing for logistics and warehouse operations.
  • Improve IDA (Inventory Data Accuracy) to better support business needs.
  • Monitor warehouse performance and ensure smooth operations.
  • Manage space utilization and warehouse location within acceptable intervals.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of warehouse infrastructure.
  • Maintain a safe working environment in warehouse operations.
  • Implement and track 5S standards in the warehouse.
  • Support APAC and global logistics teams as required.
  • Perform any additional tasks assigned by the superior.
Requirements:
Education:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
Experience & Skills:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics management and/or third-party warehouse handling.
  • Proven ability to determine logistics requirements and implement strategies to achieve business goals.
  • Proactive, results-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including listening, influencing, and communication (written and verbal in English).
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and ability to manage teams effectively.
  • Highly self-motivated, independent, and able to work under pressure.
