Manager, Warehouse & Logistics
The Manager, Warehouse & Logistics is responsible for the complete in‑bound and out‑bound material flow, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. He/She oversees all coordination and compliance activities with local authorities (MITI, MIDA, Customs, SIRIM, Port Authority, etc.), ensures warehouse inventory accuracy, prepares monthly and yearly reporting, manages LMW license renewals, and conducts continuous cost reviews related to freight and scrap. The Manager will drive improvement initiatives to deliver world‑class service levels to our global customers and implement efficient warehouse and logistics practices.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the day‑to‑day operations of the Warehouse & Logistics department.
- Ensure physical and system inventory accuracy.
- Conduct periodic cycle counts.
- Prepare and submit monthly and yearly LMW reporting, including import, export, and waste documentation.
- Coordinate all external audits and ensure proper documentation and compliance.
- Ensure on‑time delivery to customers and completion of all import/export documentation accurately and on schedule.
- Select optimal routes to ensure cost‑efficient and smooth shipment processes.
- Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs to support high‑performance warehouse and logistics operations.
- Initiate and execute continuous improvement projects (e.g., response time reduction, efficiency improvements, data processing, safety, SLOB monitoring).
- Undergo training to acquire sufficient knowledge of company products.
- Manage communication and coordination with freight forwarders.
- Conduct tenders for logistics services to secure competitive pricing and reliable service.
- Select the most economical freight options while meeting customer and production requirements.
- Prepare monthly management reports with cost analysis and recommendations.
- Ensure departmental KPIs are established and achieved.
- Maintain a safe working environment and ensure zero accidents.
- Escalate to senior management when delivery or compliance risks arise to enable timely mitigation.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to lead operational warehouse and shipping teams.
- Strong process understanding and analytical skills; able to present and implement improvement initiatives.
- Strong customer orientation and focus on on‑time delivery.
- Knowledge and experience working with MITI, MIDA, Customs and SIRIM compliance requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Able to perform effectively in challenging situations.
- Works independently and collaboratively across departments; strong team player.
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to take initiative.
- Autonomous, reliable, and hands‑on mindset.
Education and Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience in warehouse operations, including 3 years managing freight procurement.
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing operational teams.
- Demonstrated track record in people management and process improvement.
- Experience handling compliance matters with local authorities; customs experience is an added advantage.
Language Skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin proficiency is strongly preferred.
Computer Skills
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiar with Windows operating systems.
- Experience with ERP systems; Oracle knowledge is a plus.

- Ability to understand and respond to customer needs.
- Ability to recommend alternative transportation modes, routing, and freight options.
- Capability to resolve transportation and import/export issues effectively.
Work Environment
The work environment includes exposure to moderate noise levels and typical warehouse activity.
