Job summary

A leading manufacturer of bleaching earth in Malaysia is seeking a Warehouse and Logistics Manager to oversee operations in Parit Buntar. The ideal candidate should have a degree related to Supply Chain or Business Administration and at least 5 years of experience in warehouse and fleet management. Responsibilities include managing inventory, preparation of reports, and ensuring compliance with various regulatory requirements. This role requires leadership skills and the ability to handle pressure.

Qualifications

• Experience in handling dry bulk cargo is an advantage.
• Ability to lead a team of 10 or more personnel.

Job description

Job Responsibilities

To work in hand with other department heads (production, purchasing, safety, environmental, etc) for smooth operation of warehouse and logistic department.

To prepare daily/weekly/monthly report on inventory and fleet operations.

To control monthly tanker maintenance and breakdown cost.

To manage the inventory, incoming & outgoing container, cargo, dry bulk & liquid fleet operations for Clay, Acid, Alum & Sulphur.

To manage logistic for transporting schedule waste (waste gypsum) to secured land fill.

To train the entire warehouse staff, logistic staff and tanker driver for efficiency.

Willing to travel when required.

To ensure the entire work area is in good housekeeping condition.

To ensure that the MS ISO 9001:2019, MS 1480:2007, MS 2200 Part 2:2012, DOSH, DOE, JPJ, APAD, PUSPAKOM, BOMBA & KPDN are effectively implemented and meet the relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.

To undertake any other tasks as directed by the Superior/ Management as and when required.

Job Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Supply Chain/Transportation/Business Administration or others related field.

Experience in managing warehouse, handling dry bulk cargo, tanker and fleet management is an advantage.

Able to work with minimum supervisions and handle pressure.

Able to lead a team of 10 or more personnel.

At least 5 years working experience preferably in chemical or heavy manufacturing environment.

Position is to be based in Parit Buntar.
