Job summary

KC Distributions Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Assistant to join our fast-paced warehousing and distribution team in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. The role focuses on efficient storage, handling and packing of goods to support smooth logistics operations.

The ideal candidate will have warehouse experience, be able to lift up to 25 kg, maintain accurate inventory records, and work well in a team while following health and safety procedures. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse, distribution centre or similar logistics environment.
• Must be able to lift and handle items up to 25 kg regularly.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management and order picking.
• Ability to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Reliability and a strong work ethic with a positive attitude.
• Basic literacy and numeracy for recording inventory and following documentation.
• Willingness to follow health and safety procedures and maintain workplace safety standards.
• Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues.
• Forklift licence or willingness to obtain one would be advantageous.
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar software is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload and inspect incoming goods, verifying quantities and checking for damage or discrepancies.
• Organise and store items in designated locations within the warehouse, following proper stacking and labelling procedures.
• Pick and pack orders accurately according to delivery requirements and documentation.
• Prepare shipments for dispatch, including labelling, weighing and securing packages.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse floor, storage areas and aisles.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as hand trolleys, pallet jacks and, where appropriate, forklifts.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory counts and stocktakes.
• Support the warehouse team in meeting delivery schedules and maintaining operational efficiency.
• Follow all health and safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Report any issues, damages or discrepancies to supervisory staff promptly.
