• Report deficiencies or breakage of operational equipment to the Assistant Managers.
• Increase the average food and beverage check and promote sales.
• Monitor and supervise small VIP functions not handled by the Banquet Department.
• Ensure that the orders are delivered at the proper temperature.

About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur / within the Food & Beverage Department in Kuala Lumpur, the Waiter/Waitress responsibilities include greeting and serving our guests, providing detailed information on menus, multi‑tasking various front‑of‑the‑house duties in a fast‑paced environment. The Waiter/Waitress reports to the Restaurant Manager / Assistant Restaurant Manager.

As Waiter/Waitress, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Ensure that the standards of Food and Beverage service are maintained
• Anticipate guest needs, as to where guests will never have to ask for anything
• Report deficiencies or breakage of operational equipment to the Assistant Managers
• Increase the average food and beverage check and promote sales
• Monitor and supervise small VIP functions not handled by the Banquet Department
• Ensure that the orders are delivered at the proper temperature

As Waiter/Waitress, we expect from you:

• Diploma/Certificate in Hotel Management or Business Administration preferred.
• Good communication skills whether verbal, written or non‑verbal.
• Extensive knowledge of food and beverage in order to service and up sell our product, including liquors and cocktails
