Job summary

STARTRADER is seeking an on-site Video Editor in Kuala Lumpur to transform ideas into compelling visual content for ads, social media, and brand storytelling. You will collaborate with creative, marketing, and product teams to produce high-impact videos across platforms.

Requirements include 1+ year in short-form editing and proficiency in Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Final Cut Pro, with 3D tools a plus. Portfolio and bilingual subtitle capabilities are welcomed.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of short-form video editing experience.
• Portfolio featuring videos on Douyin, Bilibili or Xiaohongshu is a plus.
• Proficiency with Premiere Pro, After Effects and Final Cut Pro.
• Experience with 3D tools such as Blender or Cinema 4D is a plus.
• Experience using AI tools to streamline production workflows.

Responsibilities

• Edit and produce short-form videos for platforms including Douyin, Bilibili and Xiaohongshu.
• Stay current with platform trends and leverage viral topics to boost engagement.
• Independently produce basic 3D visuals such as title animations and motion graphics.
• Contribute to developing and refining the visual identity of IP-related content.
• Collaborate with social media and HQ design teams for consistent branding.
• Assemble raw footage, sync audio, color grade, and enhance quality.
• Create motion graphics, transitions, overlays and animated text as needed.
• Optimize videos for various platforms, formats, resolutions and aspect ratios.
• Adapt content for different audiences and markets as required.
• Manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines without sacrificing quality.
