Job description
Vice President, Product Advisory & Solutions (Islamic Banking)

Lead and drive the end-to-end development and execution of AIS’ differentiated product and programme solutions across financing, deposits, protection, legacy planning, investment and other financial solutions based on tactical market opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of AIS’ product and programme initiatives across all products/ solutions by defining objectives, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring execution meets time, scope, and outcome targets.
  • Responsible for maximising the value of a product or programme by shaping propositions which includes customer experience/journey, personalisation features, defining business cases, and ensuring alignment with Shariah principles and business objectives.
  • Shape and iterate product propositions based on customer insights, data analytics, and internal feedback to ensure alignment with AIS’ value proposition and business goals.
  • Adapt and enhance product proposition to remain relevant and compelling for target customer segments.
  • Conduct competitor benchmarking and market research to identify gaps, trends and customer insights that drives development of innovative product propositions or improvements to existing offerings competitively.
  • Oversee the end-to-end product rollout by relevant stakeholders, from ideation to launch, ensuring successful product and programme delivery and market adoption.
  • Collaborate with the Islamic coverage team to understand the client’s needs and offer tailored Islamic financial solutions to foster loyalty and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and group entities - including marketing, operations, technology, compliance, and distribution - to develop bespoke solutions and services that cater to evolving industry needs while complying with risk appetite requirements, to operationalise go‑to‑market strategies and ensure seamless product rollout.
  • Collaborate with business functions and stakeholders to provide strategic advisory services that identify and address specific needs, challenges and opportunities.
  • Monitor product and programme performance through structured metrics and reporting, identify areas for improvement and delivery risks or gaps, iterating on the product and programme based on user feedback and market trends, and recommend course corrections to sustain business impact.
  • Ensure Shariah compliance and mitigate potential risks associated with product development and implementation.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Management.

  • Staying abreast of industry trends, technological advancements (e.g., Islamic FinTech), competitor activities and customer needs to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Strong business environment awareness and sensitivity to business issues.
Experience

University/College graduate with 8 years solid banking experience.

Relevant experience in the Islamic finance industry, including product development, product management, product bundling, etc.

Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage relationships with vendors and partners.
