Vice President, Finance (General Ledger & Reporting)
As Vice President, Finance (General Ledger & Reporting), you will lead the General Ledger ("GL") and Reporting function, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial results. You will oversee general ledger operations, month-end closing, statutory reporting and compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations. This role requires a strategic leader with strong technical expertise, proven people management skills, and the ability to partner with senior stakeholders to support business growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the General Ledger and Reporting function across the Group, ensuring timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings.
 - Oversee preparation and analytical review of financial statements for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
 - Manage financial reporting of a group of companies, including forecasts, annual budgets, and long-term projections.
 - Oversee project billing, progress and cost against budget and review project accounting and documentation.
 - Ensure accuracy in project costing, revenue recognition, and intercompany transactions in accordance with Group policies.
 - Oversee preparation of statutory accounts, corporate tax reporting packs, and transfer pricing documentation.
 - Monitor and manage group cash flow positions to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations.
 - Establish, implement, and enforce accounting policies, controls, and procedures to ensure compliance and safeguard company assets.
 - Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, regulators, and company secretary on audits, tax filings, and statutory matters.
 - Provide senior management with insights, trends, and recommendations through detailed financial analysis.
 - Champion process improvements, automation initiatives, and system enhancements (including ERP developments).
 - Ensure accuracy, governance, and completeness of financial and company records.
 - Perform other duties and strategic projects as assigned by senior leadership.
 
Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant qualified: Degree in Accounting/Finance, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification.
 - At least 10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with 5+ years in a leadership role.
 - Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS/MFRS), tax regulations, and group reporting requirements.
 - Proven experience in managing full sets of accounts, consolidations, and statutory reporting.
 - Strong proficiency in MS Excel (advanced level) and experience in using ERP systems.
 - Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
 - Analytical, detail-oriented, and highly adaptable to fast-paced environments.
 - Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.
