Job description

The Quality Assurance (QA) Officer is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the quality of education and services across the college. This role oversees academic operations, exam management, student records, and faculty-related processes, ensuring compliance with MQA and MOHE standards.

Key Outcomes Expected

Education and services meet or exceed MQA and MOHE quality standards and are continuously improved.

Internal audits and external accreditation processes are conducted smoothly and accurately.

Student records and examination processes are managed accurately, securely, and in compliance with regulations.

Faculty work permits and registrations are properly supported and regulatory compliance is ensured.

Position in the Organization

Reports to the QA team or Academic Affairs division and drives quality enhancement across all college operations.

Collaborates with faculties, the exam unit, student services, HR, and administrative teams to ensure seamless QA implementation.

Serves as a liaison with college leadership and external accreditation bodies (MQA/MOHE).

Responsibilities
  • Education & Service Quality Management: Conduct audits, assessments, and process evaluations to identify areas for improvement. Develop and implement QA policies in compliance with MQA and MOHE standards.
  • Audit & Accreditation Support: Prepare, submit, and maintain documentation for MQA audits and accreditation processes. Propose and implement improvements to education delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Exam Unit Management: Manage exam scheduling, printing and storage of exam papers, coordination with part-time lecturers, and preparation of student transcripts.
  • Student Records Management: Maintain accurate student records, updating internal systems and the eIPTS website quarterly, in compliance with MOHE and MQA reporting requirements.
  • Faculty-Related Support: Assist in obtaining work permits and faculty registration, ensuring compliance with immigration laws, MOHE regulations, and MQA requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Knowledge of MQA and MOHE accreditation and reporting processes.
  • Familiarity with academic policies, admission requirements, credit exemptions, and examination procedures.
  • Experience in auditing, quality assurance, and data/records management.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple departments and lead initiatives to maintain and improve quality standards.
  • Strong multitasking skills across HR, administrative, and student record management tasks.
  • Ability to support faculty work permits and registration procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
