Job summary

MSD is seeking a skilled Master Data professional in Malaysia to own and optimize Vendor Master Data across SAP and related systems. You will ensure data accuracy, govern lifecycle processes, and support audits while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include data creation and maintenance, audits, reporting, and training across StS services, with a hybrid work arrangement and exposure to global data standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or preferred in Business, Accounting, Finance
• Minimum of two years of relevant work experience
• Knowledge of Vendor Master Data (VMD) platforms is required
• Broad understanding of end-to-end data lifecycle management
• Strong verbal and written communication in English
• Team-oriented with a customer service mindset
• Ability to perform in a high-volume environment with tight deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• SAP knowledge is required

Responsibilities

• Perform the final review of received data creations and changes to vendor master data records ensuring accuracy and adherence to procedures
• Support and execute creations and changes for non-third-party vendor account types
• Ensure master data integrity across key systems and maintain data quality processes
• Develop and maintain understanding of VMD policies to support stakeholders and audits
• Conduct periodic Vendor Master Data audits for compliance
• Review system and data governance reports to maintain high-quality data standards
• Support departmental reporting and metrics generation
• Monitor data, analyze reports, and resolve discrepancies
• Provide backup support for team members
• Deliver operational support, including training and confirmations
• Ensure compliance with data privacy requirements
• Support or lead special projects as directed by MDM Domain Lead
• Identify opportunities for data quality improvement and drive data cleansing and process improvements
• Provide transactional support to employees utilizing StS services in regional BSCs
• Resolve global transactional issues and process deviations
• Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions
• Ensure SOX controls and documentation are current and aligned with processes
• Collaborate with Process Stewards across Procure-to-Pay, Settlement, A2R, Customer Master Data and other functions
• Support mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures through supplier master data reviews
• Perform mass data uploads with accuracy and compliance
