Job summary

A leading automotive company in Malaysia is seeking a finance professional to manage financial closing activities and taxation processes. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Finance or Accounting, with at least 4 years of experience in full set accounts and taxation. Proficiency in SAP and MS Excel, along with strong analytical skills, are essential. This role involves overseeing Accounts Payable operations and ensuring compliance with taxation laws.

Job description

Carry out financial closing activities and statutory reporting processes.

Review and finalise financial statements and consolidation reports.

Compute, facilitate and manage the Company’s direct and indirect taxes, including corporate tax, withholding tax, service tax and other related taxes.

Ensure accurate tax deduction at source on vendor payments and service transactions.

Prepare CP58 for annual submission to tax authority.

Oversee Accounts Payable operations, including invoice processing, vendor payments and account reconciliations.

Ensure adherence to internal policies and payments are within the allocated fund.

Review aging reports and ensure timely payments to avoid penalties or interest.

Oversee end-to-end Accounts Receivable operations, including issuance of invoice, credit note and debit note in timely manner.

Assist in ad-hoc tasks when required.

Job Requirements:-

Degree in Finance/Accounting/professional or related qualification.

Minimum 4 years’ experience in full set account and Taxation.

Strong understanding of taxation laws.

Proficiency in SAP and MS Excel.

Detail-oriented with strong analytical and reconciliation skills.

Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management abilities.
