Job summary

A travel agency in Malaysia is seeking a Travel Consultant for inbound and outbound travel services. Responsibilities include conducting client consultations, designing detailed travel itineraries, and providing customer service across multiple channels. Candidates should have a Diploma/Degree in Tourism management or a related field, excellent language skills in Chinese, English, and Bahasa Malaysia, along with experience in the outbound tour industry, particularly in Asian countries.   • Diploma / Degree in Tourism management / Business admin & Management or equivalent to a business-related field.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written Chinese, English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Experience in outbound tour industry especially in China, Indonesia, Thailand & Vietnam.
  • Experience in airline ticketing and customer service.
  • Comfortable working with computers and mobile phones for long hours.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth consultations with clients regarding travel needs.
  • Design and customize travel itineraries.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries.
  • Collaborate with the Operational Support Team to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain up-to-date client records.

Job description
Travel Consultant - Inbound / Outbound Travel (Hybrid)

Client Consultation & Itinerary Planning

Conduct in-depth consultations with clients to understand their travel needs, preferences, and budget.

Design, customize, and propose detailed travel itineraries, including tours, accommodations, transportation, and activities, with a focus on travel to Ovesea in Asian Country China, Vitenam and Indonesia.

Provide expert advice on destinations, visa requirements, travel insurance, and cultural nuances

Customer Service

  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries across multiple channels (ManyChat, WhatsApp, phone, email).
  • Follow up on leads to close bookings and collect deposits.
  • Collaborate with the Operational Support Team to ensure seamless booking confirmations and customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize the CRM system to track leads, update statuses, and log communications.

Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain up-to-date client records and files.
  • Stay informed about travel industry trends, destination updates, and health and safety protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Requirements:

  • Diploma / Degree in Tourism management / Business admin & Management or equivalent to a business-related field.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written Chinese, English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Experience in outbound tour industry especially Asian eg China, Indonesia, Thailand & Vietnam.
  • Experience in airline ticketing and customer service role will be an added advantage.
  • Good follow up skill and highly attentive to enquiry.
  • Comfortable working with computer and mobile phone in long hours
  • Basic computer skill (Outlook, excel, Wordpress)
  • Willing to travel when necessary
  • Willing to attend to customer enquiries & tour support via phone during weekend or PH (when necessary)
