Job description
Overview

We are looking for a Transfer Pricing Senior to join our tax team and support both local and regional transfer pricing engagements. This role involves managing end-to-end transfer pricing (TP) compliance and advisory work, ensuring alignment with Malaysian guidelines.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review Transfer Pricing Documentation (TPD) and benchmarking analyses in accordance with Income Tax (Transfer Pricing) Rules 2023 and Malaysian TP Guidelines.
  • Conduct Functional, Assets, and Risk (FAR) analyses and perform comparable searches using relevant databases.
  • Manage timelines, documentation, and communication with internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Prepare and submit TP filings, and handle Inland Revenue Board (IRB) queries and correspondence.
  • Participate in advisory projects, preparing proposals, technical memos, and reports.
  • Contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Stay updated on the latest Malaysian TP developments and guidelines.
  • Mentor and support junior team members in technical and project management areas.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Economics, or a related field; professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA, MICPA) are strongly preferred.
  • 1–5 years of relevant work experience in transfer pricing, preferably in a public accounting firm or multinational corporate tax team.
  • Strong understanding of the Income Tax Act 1967 (TP provisions), Income Tax (Transfer Pricing) Rules 2023, Malaysia TP Guidelines, IRB clarifications and audit procedures.
