Job description

As a Trading & Settlements Analyst you will be a detail-oriented and proactive individual who will play an important part in our team. You will be responsible for handling transfer instructions, trade confirmations, as well as liaising with external counterparties such as brokers and registries, to ensure that our clients' outcomes are met. You will play a key role in an existing team of 8 based in Kuala Lumpur working on our NZ platform.

In this role, you will also be involved in monitoring group emails and internal case logs, addressing issues, providing updates and ensuring accurate and efficient completion of tasks. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Service and Support department to enhance system and process efficiencies and work closely with management and team members to improve documented procedures for greater controls and effectiveness within the business.

This position is ideal for someone with experience in transfer processes, as the role involves managing a range of manual tasks across operations, including handling forms and coordinating communications.

The responsibilities will include:
  • Manual transfer processing: Process daily Transfer instructions, ensuring that all instructions are delivered in a timely manner. This includes transfer initiation, settlement, asset break investigations and enquiries.
  • Record keeping maintains records as are required to ensure the WRAP administration process is transparent to regulators and external auditors.
  • Monitor group email(s) and internal case log(s) to ensure issues are addressed, valid updates are regularly provided, and case logs are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Review Breach and KPI reports and take ownership for exceptions from owned tasks by providing feedback and if required, resolution and follow up to Team Manager.
  • Other tasks: undertakes or assist with any other projects/tasks as may reasonably be required to facilitate the smooth operation of the team and Operations. Including working with Service and Support department to develop system and process enhancements to improve the efficiency and accuracy of team processing.
  • Testing team process related functions in context of project releases and general regression testing where required.
What are we ideally looking for in a successful candidate:
  • Exposure to transfers and a settlements background would be beneficial
  • Experience in Financial Services Operations or a similar role is a plus
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience especially Excel, Outlook, SQL
  • A collaborative mindset and enjoy working as part of a team when required
  • High attention to detail
  • Proven communications skills – both written and verbal given there will be a lot of communication with external stakeholders
