This role will primarily focus on monitoring the U.S. cocoa market, which operates in a different time zone and therefore requires the candidate to work during night hours or occasionally until midnight to align with U.S. market activities.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Monitor cocoa market trends, including price movements, supply dynamics, and global trading activities.
  • Execute buying and selling strategies to optimize the company's cocoa procurement and sales operations.
  • Manage commodities reporting, including cocoa beans, cocoa ingredients, and hedging positions.
  • Prepare periodic financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for both individual company and group levels.
  • Track and manage stock levels and shipments of cocoa beans for the group.
  • Review weight and quality reports of cocoa bean shipments, liaising with suppliers to address discrepancies and claims.
  • Assist in cocoa bean procurement, price fixing, and hedging activities.
  • Ensure compliance with voluntary quality and HACCP standards while maintaining necessary certifications.
  • Stay updated on new regulations and quality standards relevant to the cocoa industry and implement necessary changes.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in trading, logistics, or procurement, with exposure to FOREX, bond, or commodity trading being an added advantage.
  • Understanding of cocoa market dynamics, trading strategies, and risk management.
  • Willingness and ability to work during night shifts or late hours due to U.S. market monitoring requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • High ethical standards and ability to work independently while being a team player.
