Job summary

A global financial services firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Trade Processing Specialist. In this role, you will manage the complete lifecycle of equities trades, support the Front Office, and ensure compliance with regulatory reporting. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in operations, strong knowledge of cash equities, and a degree in banking or related field. This position offers a full-time contract with a flexible working arrangement.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of previous experience in back office/operations environment.
  • Good understanding of cash equities & SBL products and trade lifecycle.
  • Experience of interacting with middle and front offices to resolve trade queries and issues.
  • Adaptable, organized and able to adjust communication style to audience.
  • Knowledge in Robotics, macro and automation tool will be value added.

Your role

Do you know who we are in Malaysia Operations team? Do you want to apply your trade cycle know-how to our competitive products offering? Are you keen to join our team & continue to provide excellent service/support for Malaysia trade settlement?

Responsibilities
  • Be part of the front to back operations-related processes on the complete life-cycle of equities trades executed on Bursa Malaysia and SBL business vis a vis client account opening process, trade, settlement, funding and pre /post settlement controls and reconciliations.
  • Process client account opening of trading and sub-accounts.
  • Provide support to Front Office (generate trade confirmation to clients, handle enquiries, etc.).
  • Manage trade process, settlement and control for (market) transactions, interacting with the middle and front offices to resolve trade discrepancies or operational risks and manage transactional and settlement queries from external and internal clients, like trading counterparties, front office and finance.
  • Handle reconciliations and prepare regulatory and internal reporting and ensure reporting is in accordance with operations standards, regulatory requirements and are submitted on a timely basis.
Your team

You'll be working in Malaysia Operations team in Kuala Lumpur. We provide seamless front to back support to domestic & international client for Malaysia trade settlement. We also support Securities Borrowing & Lending transactions for international clients. As a Trade Processing Specialist, you’ll play an important role in making sure our processes are compliant and positive for our clients.

Your expertise
  • ideally 3 years of previous experience in back office/operations environment
