Addiction Foods is a fast-growing, brand-led pet food company on a mission to go further for pets. We develop premium, nutritionally advanced products and partner with leading retailers and pet specialty stores across multiple countries.

This is a work-from-home role with a global scope, collaborating virtually with cross-market teams and partners.

About the Role:

As Trade Marketing Executive, you’ll be the engine behind our global in-store and online presence. You’ll work hand‑in‑hand with Sales, Brand Marketing, and Key Accounts across markets to build trade programs that:

  • Win space, visibility, and share at retail.
  • Strengthen partnerships with our key customers worldwide.
  • Turn shoppers into loyal brand advocates.

You’ll also ensure best‑in‑class execution across modern trade, general trade, pet specialty, and e-commerce (where applicable), all while operating from a remote, work‑from‑home setup.

What You’ll Do:
  • Develop annual and quarterly global trade marketing plans aligned with brand and sales goals.
  • Turn brand strategies into customer‑specific initiatives and promotions by market.
  • Spot and size growth opportunities by channel, customer, and category across countries.
  • Design and roll out visibility, merchandising, promotions, and shopper activation programs in key markets.
  • Set clear execution standards and track performance across channels and countries.
  • Lead development of effective promo mechanics, and retailer/ distributor’s assets, POSM, display that stand out on shelf and online.
Customer & Channel Partnership:
  • Partner with Key Account Managers and Sales to co‑create powerful customer plans for global and regional retailers.
  • Present trade programs and post‑activity reviews to internal stakeholders and key customers.
  • Support new product launches with sharp, insight‑led activation plans across markets.
Insights & Performance:
  • Use category, shopper, and sales data to sharpen strategies and plans by market.
  • Track ROI, uplift, and off‑take, and recommend smart optimisations.
  • Monitor competitors globally and respond with agile, impactful initiatives.
  • Coach, develop, and inspire the trade marketing team to high performance.
  • Set clear objectives and KPIs, driving ownership, collaboration, and remote ways of working.
  • Champion a “test, learn, improve” mindset within the team.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Minimum of 3 years’ solid experience in Trade Marketing within FMCG or Pet Food (or closely related categories).
  • Proven track record of leading trade programs that delivered measurable business impact (sales, share, distribution, or visibility).
  • Strong understanding of retail, distributor, and/or pet specialty channels.
  • Experience in regional or multi‑market roles is a strong advantage.
  • Strong commercial acumen; able to balance brand‑building with sales and ROI.
  • Confident working cross‑functionally with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and external partners in a remote, virtual environment.
  • Dynamic, hands‑on, and a natural marketer – blending creativity with data‑driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, comfortable working across time zones.
