About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Telesales professional to drive the sales and market adoption of our Employee Benefits digital platform.

In this role, you will be responsible for generating revenue through both direct sales efforts and by cultivating partnerships with direct corporates. This role involves identifying and closing new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and developing effective sales strategies. You will be instrumental in achieving and exceeding sales targets, contributing significantly to our continued growth.

This role is based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia and reports directly to the Manager, Business Development.

A summary of the key responsibilities are as follows:
  • Spearhead the sales and market penetration of the digital platform, achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Effectively leverage both direct sales channels and partnerships to reach and acquire clients.
  • Identify, qualify and secure new business opportunities with target clients. Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy for the digital platform, incorporating market analysis, competitive analysis and a clear understanding of target customer needs.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including marketing, product and operations teams, to ensure seamless sales execution and positive customer experience.
  • Track sales performance, analyze results and provide regular reports to management on progress and challenges.
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities and industry developments to identify new opportunities and adapt sales strategies accordingly.

This position offers a competitive compensation package, including a base allowance and performance-based commission structure.

About you

Bachelor’s Degree with 2-5 years of relevant experience in sales, business development, or account management role, preferably within the insurance, healthcare, or employee benefits industry. Experience selling to SMEs is highly desirable. Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.

Demonstrated ability to identify, qualify and close sales opportunities. Strong negotiation and close skills.

Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with clients and partners.

Ability to develop and execute a sales strategy, including market analysis, lead generation and pipeline management.

Self-motivated, results-oriented and able to work independently.

A start-up mentality: collaborative, hands-on, pragmatic, and comfortable working independently when necessary.

Ability to thrive in ambiguity, embracing the fast-paced, ever-changing environment of a growing company.

A start-up attitude - you take full ownership of things that you do, willing to go out of your comfort zone and take on new challenges.
