Job summary

A leading consumer financing provider is seeking a Technology Operations Manager for their Kuala Lumpur office. This role includes managing workplace operations, overseeing IT operations, and ensuring the security and effectiveness of technology systems. The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of experience in IT operations and strong skills in Google Workspace Administration. Technology Operations Manager (Workplace Technology)

This role is based within AEON360, a subsidiary of AEON Credit as the Technology Operations Manager (Workplace Technology) and is responsible for establishing and running Aeon360’s workplace operations across employees but not limited to - onboarding/offboarding, asset management, Google Workspace governance, MDM/BYOD controls, and IT Service Management processes following standard ITIL Framework.

This role works closely with HR, Security, and business stakeholders to ensure employees are productive from Day 1 while maintaining secure, bank-grade access governance and operational discipline. The role also owns the workplace technology budget, including proposals for hardware and workplace tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end workplace IT operations including employee readiness, devices, productivity tools, and access governance. Establish workplace SOPs and standards for consistent delivery and employee experience. Define and manage workplace service SLAs and operational reporting.
  • Work closely with HR to align onboarding/offboarding processes with employee lifecycle (Joiner/Mover/Leaver). Ensure Day-1 readiness: device provisioning, Google account setup, access provisioning, and baseline configurations. Manage offboarding execution: timely access revocation, device recovery tracking, and clearance confirmation with HR. Maintain full audit trail for all access, devices, and handover activities.
  • Responsible for procurement, provisioning, assignment, maintenance, and lifecycle management of laptops / MacBooks and accessories. Maintain accurate inventory with asset tagging, assignment records, warranty tracking, and refresh planning. Drive standardization of workplace hardware catalogues and provisioning configurations.
  • Implement and maintain access controls aligned to least privilege principles. Collaborate with Security/Compliance on governance controls aligned with regulated/banking expectations (e.g. DLP, restricted access).
  • Own Google Workspace administration including user provisioning, groups, OUs, permissions, and role-based access controls- sharing governance and external sharing restrictions.
  • Establish and enforce MDM policies for corporate and BYOD devices. Implement BYOD controls to protect corporate information, including minimum security requirements and compliance enforcement. Manage device compliance actions such as restricting access, remote wipe/account wipe for lost devices or exit cases.
  • Establish and operate ITIL-aligned processes:-
    • Incident Management (triage, severity classification, escalation, communications)
    • Problem Management (root cause analysis, trend monitoring, preventive actions)
    • Change Management (change requests, approvals, rollback planning, release governance)
    Build a Workplace Service Catalogue, request types, workflows, and automation rules. Track and report on service performance metrics (SLA, MTTR, ticket trends, recurring issues).
  • Own workplace automation initiatives to reduce manual work and improve turnaround time - onboarding/offboarding workflows, access request approvals and audit trail, device provisioning checklists and standard builds and drive continuous improvement through process optimization and automation.
  • Own workplace operations budget, including forecasting and cost controls for - hardware refresh cycles and procurement planning and Develop proposals and business cases for workplace technology improvements and investments.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 5–7 years experience in Workplace Technology / IT Operations / End-User Services / Service Management
  • Strong hands-on experience with Google Workspace Administration
  • Experience implementing workplace security controls such as Data leaked protection (DLP), Drive sharing governance, and access restrictions
  • Working knowledge of MDM and BYOD policy enforcement
  • Strong experience in procurement, asset lifecycle management, and vendor coordination
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, able to work effectively with HR, Security and business teams
