Technician – Hyatt House Kuala Lumpur, Mont Kiara

We are currently looking for an experienced Technician to join us in this exciting journey with the first Hyatt House in South East Asia. This position reports directly to the Lead Host – Engineering.

Overview

Hyatt House Kuala Lumpur, Mont Kiara will mark the first Hyatt House hotel in Malaysia and South East Asia. Located in Mont ’Kiara, an affluent suburb five kilometres from downtown Kuala Lumpur, the hotel will feature approximately 298 guestrooms, a three‑meal restaurant, 3,100 square feet of meeting space, a fitness centre, and a sky pool. Scheduled to open in 2018, the hotel will be part of a larger mixed‑use development, Arcoris Mont ‘Kiara, which will include business suites, small home offices (“SoHo”), residential units, and a retail plaza.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Takes an active role in resolving maintenance issues for both guest and associate areas, resolving those issues which can be dealt with immediately and reporting those which require specialist skill.
• Properly handles and maintains all power tools.
• Submits request to the Lead Host – Engineering for the purchases of parts and consumables.
• Ensures cleanliness of all work areas and protects the surroundings when executing duties.
• Ensures effective energy conservation measures in areas of operations.
• Ensures timely completion of work orders and preventive maintenance tasks.
• To assist and ensure effectively the Preventive Maintenance Program is carried out promptly and to the highest standard.
• Assists other Hosts with duties throughout the hotel when requested by superior.
• Any additional specialist skill is an advantage.
