Job summary

WD is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician responsible for preventive maintenance, equipment installation, troubleshooting major issues, and supporting new product programs. You will train contract workers on SOPs, respond to downtime, and work with cross-functional teams to maintain high machine utilization.

Requirements include a Diploma in Engineering; 12-hour shift rotation is preferred. Candidates should be adept at analyzing downtime, understand SPC, and possess strong automation

Job Description

Responsible for equipment maintenance and improvement, ensuring machine utilization. Involved in equipment installation, troubleshooting major issues, training contract workers on SOPs, and supporting new product programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To carry out equipment preventive maintenance as per schedule
• In charge of equipment form factor conversion, set-up, and buy-off

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

• Diploma in any Engineering

PREFERRED:

Work on a 12-hour shift rotation.

Perform machine preventive maintenance and maintain accurate maintenance records.

SKILLS:

Capable of analyzing and providing detailed feedback on major equipment downtime, including chronological events and corrective actions taken.

Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) is an added advantage.

Possess strong knowledge of Automation and Control Systems.

Act as the first line of response for unscheduled machine downtime and quality-related issues.

Collaborate effectively with cross-functional departments to support operational efficiency.

Able to respond to sudden changes and work effectively under pressure to restore machine operations within a short timeframe.
