Job summary

A leading automotive service provider in Malaysia seeks a dedicated individual for daily vehicle handling. Responsibilities include performing work as per repair orders, maintaining a high standard of quality and efficiency, and ensuring vehicle cleanliness and safety. Responsibilities

• Accurate and timely performance of work instructions in repair orders.
• Maintain quality, productivity, and efficiency to achieve sales targets.
• Ensure vehicle cleanliness, security, and safety in service centres.
• Inform service foremen of any work delays.
• Attend daily morning briefings and understand business developments.
• Achieve set Efficiency, Productivity, and Utilisation metrics.
• Ensure proper handling of warranty defective parts.
• Follow workshop safety rules and maintain cleanliness.
• Assist other technicians and perform additional duties as assigned.

Daily Vehicle Handling

• Accurate and timely performance of all work instructions stipulated in repair orders assigned by job controllers.
• Accomplish and maintain high level of quality, productivity and efficiency, achieve daily, weekly and monthly sales targets thus maintain low rate of comeback repairs or complaints
• Responsible for vehicle cleanliness, security and safety while in service centres.
• Immediately inform service foremen on any work delays whenever jobs are unable to meet actual flat rate time.

Operations

• Attend morning briefings daily and responsible to listen and understand latest developments and daily business figures of workshop.
• To obtain minimum of the set Efficiency, Productivity and Utilisation.
• Responsible for ensuring tagging and information on warranty defective parts including daily audit and proper arrangement of warranty defective parts.
• Follows work rules in workshop safety & health practices relating to operation of shop tools, use of personal safety devices, workshop housekeeping, uniform and bay cleanliness.

Workshop Tools and Equipment

• Responsible for workshop regulations on special service tools and hand tools care, usage and cleanliness.
• Maintain clean tools, equipment, facilities, environment and general workshop housekeeping at all times.

Others

• Maintain the company’s standards for ethical business practices, professional image, orderliness, customer service and good employee and community relations.
• Ensure all electrical, air and water appliances are switched off during break times and workshop off operations hours.
• Assist other technicians when required.
• Perform other duties requested by superior not specified above.
• Responsible for Environment, Safety and Health to ensure a safe working environment for all employees, whilst complying with local legal requirements.
