A leading healthcare facilities management company in Kuala Lumpur seeks a skilled technician for HVAC maintenance and operations. Responsibilities include installation, repair, and preventive maintenance of air-conditioning and refrigeration systems, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards. Candidates should possess a minimum SPM/SPVM qualification and preferably a recognized diploma in the relevant field, with good technical and communication skills. This role supports smooth hospital operations and participation in safety and training programs.
Perform repair, maintenance, installation, and operation of hospital air-conditioning and refrigeration systems, including split units, AHUs, FCUs, chillers, and cold rooms, ensuring compliance with healthcare facility standards.
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and maintain proper temperature and air quality in patient areas, operating theatres, laboratories, and pharmacy storage.
Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, ventilation, and refrigeration systems to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Maintain and repair freezers, chillers, ice machines, kitchen exhaust hood fans, and other critical hospital equipment that require temperature control.
Assist in the maintenance of water supply systems, sewage systems, and sewage treatment plants to ensure uninterrupted hospital operations.
Conduct daily/weekly routine checks for critical systems such as PABX, UPS, and GEN-SET to ensure readiness for emergencies.
Maintain daily log sheets and maintenance records for all equipment as per hospital and regulatory requirements.
Immediately report major breakdowns, faults, or safety hazards to the Head of Facility for urgent rectification.
Ensure all work follows hospital infection control protocols, safety procedures, and OSH policies to avoid contamination or disruption of clinical services.
Actively participate in OSH training, safety campaigns, and emergency preparedness drills.
Support hospital activities related to risk management, safety, quality compliance, and business continuity.
Report any work-related injuries, strains, or illnesses promptly.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor to support smooth hospital operations.
Minimum SPM/ SPVM qualification. Recognized Diploma in relevant field is an added advantage.
Preferably have previous experience in facility management.
Technically sound and capable.
Possess good oral and written communication skills.
