Job summary

The ideal candidate has basic technical knowledge, 1–2 years in a hotel setting, and a service‑oriented attitude toward guests and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM or equivalent; technical/vocational certificate is an advantage.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience, preferably in hospitality.
• Working knowledge of electrical wiring, plumbing, and air‑conditioning units.
• Able to read basic technical diagrams and manuals.
• Physically fit and able to work at heights and lift equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on hotel electrical, plumbing, air‑conditioning, and mechanical systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff with minimal disruption.
• Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house facilities.
• Carry out basic carpentry, painting, and general repair work as needed.
• Monitor building systems including HVAC, boilers, generators, and pumps.
• Support setup and troubleshooting for banquet/event electrical and A/V needs.
• Maintain maintenance logs and report recurring issues to supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with fire, health, and safety regulations.
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls, including after hours.
• Assist with energy and water conservation initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on hotel electrical, plumbing, air‑conditioning, and mechanical systems
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff, ensuring minimal disruption to guest experience
• Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house facilities to identify and resolve issues
• Carry out basic carpentry, painting, and general repair work as needed
• Monitor and maintain building systems including HVAC, boilers, generators, and pumps
• Support setup and troubleshooting for banquet/event electrical and audio‑visual needs
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and report recurring issues to the supervisor /Head of department
• Ensure compliance with fire safety, health, and safety regulations
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls, including after‑hours as required
• Assist with energy and water conservation initiatives

Requirements:

• Minimum SPM or equivalent; technical/vocational certificate in electrical, mechanical, or building services is an advantage
• At least 1–2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment
• Working knowledge of electrical wiring, plumbing systems, and air‑conditioning units
• Ability to read basic technical diagrams and manuals
• Physically fit and able to work at heights, lift equipment, and stand for extended periods
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as needed
• Good problem‑solving skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Basic communication skills in English and/or Bahasa Malaysia
• A positive, service‑oriented attitude toward guests and colleagues
