Job summary

A technology company in Klang City is seeking an IT support specialist to install, troubleshoot, and configure hardware and software systems. The ideal candidate will possess a diploma or degree in Computer Science and have at least 1-2 years of relevant experience. Strong customer service and analytical skills are essential, with communication abilities in English and preferably Mandarin or Cantonese. This role requires a team player willing to work flexible hours. Contract position for 1 year.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot and configure PC, notebooks, printers, scanners hardware components.
• Install, troubleshoot and configure Microsoft Windows Operating System and Microsoft applications on desktop and notebook.
• Install and troubleshoot McAfee anti‑virus software, patches and hot‑fixes for Microsoft or other applications.
• Installation and troubleshooting of client access, in‑house banking applications, etc.
• Create and set up new images, support CA deployment and McAfee agents.
• Liaise with vendor engineers for system hardware and software set‑up.
• Assist in desktops, printers and LAN infrastructure inventory reporting.
• Assist in desktops, printers and LAN infrastructure related projects.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
• At least 1‑2 years of relevant working experience.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills; good in spoken and written English; ability to communicate in Mandarin/Cantonese is an added advantage.
• Able to work extra hours after standard working hour, as and when required on occasions.
• Strong analytical and proactive attitude.
• Strong dedication to excellent delivery and customer service.
• Team player and self‑starter with ability to multi‑task in a high‑pressure, fast‑paced, fast‑growth environment.
• Possess own transport and willing to travel within Klang Valley.
• 1 year contract position.
