Role– Your Mission
As Technical Solutions Architect in Tookitaki’s Services Organization, you are the technical cornerstone bridging solution design, product engineering, and client architectural environments. You’ll architect enterprise‑grade, mission‑critical AML and fraud prevention solutions for the most demanding financial institutions in emerging APAC markets.
Your primary mission is to:
- Design and architect client‑specific solution blueprints that are scalable, secure, and regulatory‑compliant
- Ensure seamless deployment of Tookitaki’s AFC Ecosystem and FinCense platform into complex banking environments
- Bridge product innovation with real‑world client constraints and opportunities
- Drive technical excellence that enables Tookitaki’s 7x revenue growth journey
- Build reusable frameworks that transform our delivery capability from artisan to industrial scale
This is not a backend role. You’ll be client‑facing, consultative, and strategic – owning architecture from presales through production, working directly with CTOs, ChiefCompliance Officers, and enterprise architecture teams at major banks and fintechs.
What You’ll Do
- Translate complex business and regulatory requirements into scalable technical architectures on Tookitaki’s FinCense and AFC platforms
- Design end‑to‑end deployment blueprints covering infrastructure, data pipelines, real‑time streaming, batch integration, APIs, and security frameworks
- Architect solutions for billions of transactions per day with sub‑second latency requirements for fraud detection
- Define multi‑tenancy and data residency strategies compliant with MAS, BNM, BI, and BSP regulations
- Create hybrid cloud and on‑premise deployment architectures for conservative banking clients
Technical Standards & Governance
- Define and maintain reference architectures for different client segments (digital banks, traditional banks, payment platforms, fintechs)
- Establish integration patterns and best practices for connecting with core banking systems, payment switches, and legacy mainframes
- Create architectural guardrails ensuring scalability, security, and operational excellence
- Review and validate deployment designs from engineering and cloud infrastructure teams

- Implementation & Technical Leadership (30%)
- Partner with Deployment Engineers to oversee full lifecycle rollouts – from infrastructure provisioning and configuration to data ingestion, testing, and production cutover
- Provide hands‑on technical leadership during critical implementation phases – data migration, system integration testing, UAT, and go‑live
Performance & Reliability
- Architect for 99.9% uptime across all production environments
- Design auto‑scaling strategies handling peak transaction volumes (e.g., holiday shopping, salary days)
- Implement disaster recovery and business continuity architectures with RTO/RPO
- Lead performance tuning of Spark jobs, Kafka streams, Flink pipelines, and ScyllaDB clusters
- Conduct capacity planning and cost optimisation across client deployments
- Support Sales and Presales teams in RFP responses with detailed technical architecture documentation
- Lead architecture workshops with client IT, security, and risk teams
- Present and defend technical solutions to CTO/CIO/CISO stakeholders

- Serve as primary technical liaison for your client portfolio
- Conduct quarterly architecture health reviews and optimisation roadmaps
- Advise clients on regulatory compliance requirements across APAC jurisdictions
- Build deep, strategic relationships that turn clients into reference accounts

- Design solutions for cross‑border payment monitoring and regional AML cooperation
- Partner closely with Product Management to translate field learnings into product roadmap priorities
- Work with Engineering teams to ensure architectural feasibility and proper implementation of designs
- Collaborate with Cloud Infrastructure teams on AWS/GCP optimisations and security hardening
- Align with Delivery Managers on project timelines, risks, and resource planning
Knowledge Transfer
- Create and maintain architecture playbooks, runbooks, and SOPs for common deployment patterns
- Lead monthly knowledge‑sharing sessions (lunch‑and‑learns, architecture reviews) with Services and Engineering teams
- Mentor Deployment Engineers and Cloud Ops members, building organisational capability
- Document lessons learned from every major implementation
- Build a solutions library of reusable components, Terraform modules, Helm charts, and integration templates
