Job description

Anton Paar Malaysia Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Austrian company Anton Paar GmbH, is a world leader in the measurement of density, concentration and CO2, material characterization, microwave assisted digestion/synthesis and in the field of rheometry.

We are looking for a new Technical Sales Representative based in Johor (preferred), who will be responsible for sale of laboratory and process equipment in Southern region of Malaysia.

Responsibilities
  • To periodically visit, maintain and foster our relationship with existing customers within your sales territory ("the face of the company").
  • To generate new revenue through prospecting, lead/funnel and effective territory management.
  • To prepare tender documents, quotations, provide technical presentations, professionally demonstrate your assigned product portfolio to potential customers, install newly delivered products and train customers on how to properly use our products.
  • To periodically update and maintain any project progress and/or activities in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • To participate / host workshops, conferences and exhibitions.
  • The overall responsibility to convey our value proposition to the customer.

Key Technologies & Territories

Liquid Density & Concentration, Viscometry, Polarimeter & Refractometry, Consistency Measurement, Volatility (e.g. flash point, distillation), Oxidation Stability & Cold flow properties and Process Intrusmentation (PI) – Southern Region: whole Johor.

Your profile
  • Education in Chemistry, Physics or Mechanical Engineering required (BSc or MSc degree).
  • At least two (2) years of experience in technical sales of analytical laboratory and/or process instrumentation.
  • Strong entrepreneurial mind‑set, and MUST possess a can‑do & win mentality.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills through all media.
  • Self‑motivated, enthusiastic, can‑do attitude, able to work under own initiative.
  • Willingness to travel within the region as well as overseas (i.e. product trainings).
  • Strong analytical problem solving skills.
  • Business level in Bahasa Melayu and English.
