A recruitment agency in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Project Manager with 7-9 years of experience in the gaming industry to define project scopes, manage software development processes, and lead cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate has a degree in Software Engineering/Computer Science, strong leadership skills, and proven experience with Agile methodologies. Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and resources required.
Develop and manage detailed project plans, including milestones, deliverables, and risk assessments.
Work closely with product owners and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals.
Lead cross‑functional teams, including developers, designers, QA, compliance and business analysts.
Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a collaborative environment.
Ensure that all team members have clear tasks and deadlines, and provide regular feedback on their progress.
Oversee the end‑to‑end software development process, including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and regulatory requirements.
Manage the integration of various third‑party systems and APIs (e.g., platforms/operators, game providers, affiliate tracking systems, KYC/AML systems, and backend services).
Coordinate with external vendors and internal teams to ensure smooth and efficient integration.
Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruptions to users.
Identify potential risks early in the project and develop mitigation strategies.
Track and resolve issues that arise during development, including technical, resource‑related, or operational bottlenecks.
Regularly update stakeholders on project progress, issues, and resolutions.
Maintain clear and transparent communication with stakeholders, ensuring they are informed about project timelines, risks, and deliverables.
Act as the main point of contact for all project‑related inquiries.
Regularly present project status, challenges, and achievements to senior management.
Ensure the final product meets all functional, technical, and regulatory requirements (including compliance with gaming laws, data privacy regulations, and gambling licenses).
Coordinate UAT (User Acceptance Testing) with stakeholders, ensuring that the product is ready for release.
Work closely with QA teams to identify and resolve bugs and performance issues.
Oversee post‑launch activities such as monitoring system performance, user feedback, and incident resolution.
Ensure that updates, patches, and new features are planned, tested, and deployed as needed.
