Job description

This job is all about turning designs into reality using machines! You might like this job because you'll get to program CNC machines, make new products, and work with cool software that brings your ideas to life.

• Analyse drawings, sketches and design data to determine dimension and configuration of cuts, machine speeds and feed rates.
• Prepare CNC programming with CAD/CAM software, monitoring CNC programs and ensure accuracy of all instructions through comparison with drawing and design.
• Setting CNC programs for new products and determine new fixture for manufacturing.

Job Requirements

• Able to determine correct cutting tools in order to reduce machining times, remove additional operations, improve surface finishing and enhance accuracy levels.
• Create and compile necessary documents to aid setting up of CNC machines, including instruction sheets on cutter tools setup.
• Improve programming process and procedures from time to time.
• To carry out other duties and ad-hoc assignment as and when required by superior.
• To establish or review safety work procedures in order to ensure all works performed are compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines.
