Responsibilities

• Assist design engineer in designing new products or improving features.
• Prepare BOM for product.
• Facilitate design workflow processes.
• Ensure proper use and safekeeping of tools.
• Assist in part mock-up for design confirmation.
• Prepare MRN to request parts for mock-ups.

Skills

Familiar with product design and its manufacturing process

Good knowledge of technical drawings

Basic knowledge of product costing

Technical drawing skills

Basic knowledge in using fabrication tools

Brazing skills

Basic knowledge in mathematical calculation and conversion factors

Familiar with product constructions

Education

Diploma holder or 3 years experience in the related field with SPM certificate

Key Role

To assist Design Engineer / Executive in product design and improvement, preparing prototype unit for performance test and design fabrication.

Key Responsibility

To assist design engineer design new product or improve the product features.

To prepare BOM for product.

To facilitate the design of workflow processes during designing or improvement of work for the products.

To ensure proper use and safekeeping of tools and equipment.

To assist in part mock-up for design confirmation.

To prepare MRN to request parts from Material store for product mock-up.

Key Accountability

1. To complete the product design (3D & 2D modeling) and BOM on time.
2. To complete the prototype preparation on time.
3. To maintain tidiness and cleanliness of workshop.

Prerequisite Skill & Knowledge

Knowledge

1. Familiar with product design and its manufacturing process.
2. Good knowledge of technical drawings.
3. Basic knowledge of product costing.
4. Technical drawing skills.
5. Basic knowledge in using fabrication tools i.e. cutter, clamp, welding machine, etc.
6. Brazing skills.
7. Basic knowledge in mathematical calculation and conversion factors.
8. Familiar with product constructions.
