Adcote Matrix International School (AMIS) is an established international school located in Seremban, Malaysia, approximately 45 minutes from Kuala Lumpur. We offer a broad and innovative curriculum from Early Years and Primary Cambridge International Curriculum and IPC, Secondary Cambridge curriculum, IGCSE and A Level based on a combination of the International Primary Curriculum (IPC), Cambridge International Curriculum and the National Curriculum for England and Wales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high‑quality lessons based on the Cambridge IGCSE Psychology curriculum.
  • Teach key topics such as cognitive development, biological psychology, learning, abnormality, and research methods.
  • Design schemes of work, lesson plans, classroom activities, and assessments.
  • Prepare students thoroughly for IGCSE examinations, including both theory and application‑based questions.
  • Use a variety of instructional strategies to support diverse learning needs and abilities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, assessment, and attendance.
  • Provide regular feedback to students and communicate with parents on academic progress.
  • Encourage critical thinking, curiosity, and ethical awareness in psychological contexts.
  • Stay up to date with curriculum changes, exam board expectations, and relevant psychological research.
  • Participate in school events, parent‑teacher meetings, and professional development sessions.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a closely related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience teaching Psychology, preferably at the IGCSE level.
  • Familiarity with Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) curriculum.
  • Proven track record of student achievement in external exams is an advantage.
  • It is highly desirable that candidates bring skills to enrich our co‑curricular programme.
