Job summary

Deloitte Malaysia is seeking an Associate for Tax Business Process Solution (DRSC T&L) to support accounting processes for multiple clients. The role involves monthly accruals, journals, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements.

You will work within a fast-paced team, leveraging Excel and ERP systems to ensure accurate records and timely reporting. The successful candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, 1–2+ years of experience, and strong communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or similar professional qualification.
• 1–2 years or more of experience in an accounting-related role.
• ERP experience with Xero, Navision or SAP is a plus.
• Knowledge of GAAP and cost control principles.
• Self-starter, organized, detail-oriented, deadline-driven.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team on several projects.
• Excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel, and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly accruals, prepayments and other journal entries and reconcile accounts monthly.
• Input and maintain day-to-day and monthly journals for multiple clients per deadlines.
• Assist with general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliations.
• Accounts receivable: prepare invoices and maintain AR.
• Accounts payable: rename invoices, summarize payments and manage AP.
• Prepare financial statements and management accounts monthly and quarterly.
• Input inventory transactions into the inventory system.
• Other accounting tasks as required.
