Job summary

ShineWing TY Teoh in Penang is seeking a capable tax professional to lead and supervise tax associates and seniors, ensuring accuracy and timely tax submissions for a diverse client portfolio. You will review work, identify risk areas, liaise with tax officers, and communicate clearly with clients while upholding professional standards.

A Diploma or Bachelor’s in Accounting and at least six years’ tax experience are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or part/full professional qualification.
• At least 6 years of tax compliance and consultancy experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Bahasa.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise tax associates and seniors.
• Review work to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Manage a portfolio of clients for tax submissions deadlines.
• Identify and assess tax risk areas and propose risk management solutions.
• Liaise with tax officers and communicate effectively with clients.

• You'll be leading and supervise tax associates and seniors.
• Perform review of work completed by tax associates and senior to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Manage a portfolio of clients for compliance with tax submission deadlines.
• Identification and assessment of potential tax risk areas / issues and propose risk management solution.
• Liaise with tax officers &communicate effectively with clients.

What We're Looking For

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, or those with part/full professional qualification.
• Strong technical knowledge of business, with at least 6 years working experience in tax compliance and consultancy, ideally in a professional services organization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa.
