PKF Malaysia is seeking a Tax Advisory Manager to join our growing tax practice. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with deep tax expertise who can provide high-value advisory services to clients while fostering long-term relationships. You will work closely with businesses, entrepreneurs, and multinational corporations to optimize tax efficiency and ensure compliance in a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on corporate tax, cross-border transactions, tax incentives, restructuring and indirect tax matters (SST).
  • Research and interpret tax laws, regulations, and rulings to ensure compliance and optimize tax strategies.
  • Advise clients or business units on tax implications of transactions, investments, and operational changes.
  • Develop and implement tax-efficient structures and planning strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align tax strategies with business objectives.
  • Manage relationships with clients, tax authorities, and external advisors.
  • Review and analyze tax provisions, deferred tax positions, and financial reporting impacts.
  • Monitor legislative changes and assess their impact on the business or clients.
  • Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure high-quality service.
  • Lead and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CTIM/CPA/ACCA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Preferably possess 5-7 years of tax advisory experience in professional services firm.
  • Good command of both written and spoken English; ability to read and write Chinese preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysia tax laws, international tax principles, and transfer pricing.
  • Knowledge in Malaysian indirect tax (i.e., SST and GST) would be an added bonus.
  • Ability to analyze complex tax issues and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, people management and project management abilities.
  • Proficiency in tax research tools (e.g., CCH, RIA, Bloomberg Tax).
  • Self-motivated, commercially aware, and passionate about delivering client‑centric solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
