Job summary

Baker Tilly Malaysia is seeking a transfer pricing professional to assist in developing compliant tax strategies for clients in line with local authorities in Malaysia.

You will support managers across transfer pricing reviews, benchmarking and price setting for inter-company transactions, while preparing robust documentation and liaising with government agencies. A strong analytical mindset and learning ethos are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in accounting/finance/economics/taxation.
• Knowledge of functional analyses interviews to identify inter-company transactions.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team, under pressure.

Job Brief:

To assist clients in developing compliant and appropriate tax strategies to meet their business goals and local tax authorities expectation.

Job Responsibilities:

• To support Manager in all stages of the transfer pricing engagements including but not limited to transfer pricing reviews, benchmarking and price setting for inter-company transactions.
• To demonstrate an understanding of transfer pricing concepts and effectively apply economic/ financial knowledge to resolve client challenges.
• Proactively assist in the management of several clients while reporting to Assistant Managers and above.
• Providing a fully integrated approach to transfer pricing by preparing quality documentations and assisting in defending transfer pricing in audit situations.
• Liaise with officers from the Inland Revenue Board, Ministry of Finance and other government agencies in connection with client engagements.
• Keep abreast on the latest developments in transfer pricing in Malaysia.

Job Requirements:

• Possess at least a Bachelor’s degree and/or any professional qualification in Accounting / Finance / Economics / Taxation or other similar disciplines.
• Knowledge of managing functional analyses interviews to identify and assess client's inter-company transactions.
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team, and able to work under pressure
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrate strong commitment to personal learning and development
