Job summary

RL Tax Services Sdn. Bhd. invites applications for a Tax Associate or Tax Senior to join our taxation team in Petaling Jaya. You will deliver tax advisory, compliance work and support clients across Malaysia, with progression opportunities based on experience.

The role covers returns, planning, and guidance on RPGT, stamp duty, and regulatory obligations, while senior staff mentor juniors and ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as CA(M), CPA, ACCA or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Minimum 1 year for Tax Associate or 3+ years for Tax Senior.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian income tax, corporate tax and other relevant tax legislation.
• Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and reviewing tax returns and tax computations for individuals and corporate entities in compliance with Malaysian tax legislation
• Conducting tax planning and advisory services to optimise clients' tax positions and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
• Providing guidance on income tax, RPGT, stamp duty and other statutory tax obligations
• Liaising with clients and tax authorities to resolve tax matters and respond to queries from the Inland Revenue Board (IRB)
• Conducting research on complex tax issues and developing practical solutions aligned with current tax law
• Preparing tax-related correspondence and documentation for clients and relevant authorities
• Supporting due diligence activities and tax-related analysis for corporate transactions where applicable
• Maintaining accurate records and files related to client tax matters and ensuring adherence to professional standards
• For Tax Senior level: Supervising and mentoring junior team members, ensuring quality control and timely delivery of tax services
