A Day in Your Life at MKS:

As a dynamic Talent Acquisition Specialist in APAC, you will take charge of overseeing the entire recruitment cycle for Malaysia, with occasional involvement in other Southeast Asia regions. The ideal candidate will have experience in hiring across all levels of the organization, from entry-level positions to executive leadership roles. In this role you will report to the Talent Acquisition Manager.

You Will Make an Impact By:
  • Develop and execute strategic recruitment plans to fulfill the organization's staffing needs.
  • Manage the entire recruitment lifecycle, from candidate sourcing and screening to offer negotiation and onboarding.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand talent requirements and provide guidance and support throughout the hiring process.
  • Conduct recruitment activities across all levels, including executive-level positions, mid-level management, and entry-level roles.
  • Managing manpower outsourcing vendors and overseeing new project (e.g. mass recruitment activities).
  • Strengthening partnerships with local higher educational institutions and polytechnics.
  • Attending campus recruitment events and organizing relevant STEM-related workshops or events to provide engineering opportunities across Peninsula Malaysia, Sabah, and Sarawak.
  • Driving employer branding initiatives to enhance the organization's reputation as an employer of choice.
  • Staying updated on industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition, continuously enhancing recruitment processes and strategies.
  • Acting as a brand ambassador for MKS Instruments, promoting our culture and values to potential candidates.
Skills You Bring (Required Skills)
  • Tertiary education in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of international recruiting experience, with a focus on hiring across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in campus recruitment preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing or engineering environment is advantageous.
  • Agency recruitment or RPO experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of employer branding principles and strategies as well as passion to discover and implement alternative/new ways to attract talent through the use of technology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Proven track record of success in a fast-paced recruiting environment.
  • Innovative mindset with a passion for continuous learning and growth.
  • Ability to thrive in a competitive recruiting landscape and work effectively under pressure.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
