A leading consulting firm is seeking an Assistant Manager/Manager for Transfer Pricing in Kuala Lumpur. The role involves ensuring compliance and providing audit defense for clients, along with leading a high-performing team. Ideal candidates have a degree in a relevant field and 5+ years of experience. Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is essential, with additional languages being a plus.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of transfer pricing work experience, preferably in another Big4 firm.
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin/Cantonese/Japanese is an added advantage.

Responsibilities
  • Perform transfer pricing compliance, audit defense and planning exercise for MNE clients and local group entities.
  • Keep oneself updated on the latest developments in transfer pricing in Malaysia.
  • Liaise with clients on a day-to-day basis to understand their expectations and requirements, and provide timely deliverables.
  • Liaise with officers from the Inland Revenue Board, Ministry of Finance and other government agencies in connection with client engagements.

Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting/ Economics/ Taxation from recognized universities or any professional qualification in similar disciplines.
  • At least 5 years transfer pricing work experience, preferably in another Big4 firm.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia. Ability to communicate in Mandarin/ Cantonese/ Japanese in addition to English and Bahasa Malaysia would be an added advantage.
  • Competent in MS-Word, MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint.
  • Able to prioritize and organize work.
  • Strong inter-personal skills.
  • Leadership and people management skills; able to work both independently and as part of a team.
