Job summary

Deloitte is seeking a transfer pricing professional to lead multi-stream engagements, conduct analyses and benchmarking, and develop planning strategies for client engagements in Malaysia.

The role requires strong English and Bahasa Malaysia communication, with 4–5 years of TP experience. You will manage client relationships, review outputs, and contribute to business development while coaching junior staff.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting/ Economics/ Taxation/ Law from recognized universities or equivalent.
• 4–5 years of transfer pricing experience; preferably with a professional services firm.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint; strong analytical ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead full workstreams of transfer pricing engagements including functional analyses, benchmarking, and TP documentation.
• Review benchmarking analyses and technical sections prepared by consultants / interns.
• Develop TP planning strategies and provide technical input to structuring engagements.
• Serve as the main day-to-day contact for client communication and relationship management.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and are completed on time.
• Assist the team with business development efforts including proposals and research.
• Coach consultants and interns including internal training.
• Mentor and empower team members; act as brand ambassadors for the firm.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting/ Economics/ Taxation/ Law from recognized universities or any professional qualification in similar disciplines.
• Between 4-5 years of transfer pricing work experience, preferably with another professional services firm. Candidates with relevant experience from industry would also be eligible.
• Knowledge and experience of data analytics would be preferred, but not a must.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Competent in MS-Word, MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
• Leadership and people management skills; able to work both independently and as part of a team.
