Job description
System Support Engineer (Software Developer)

Location: Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur City Centre, Kuala Lumpur, MY. Must be onsite (local or overseas if required) and able to travel overseas.

Provides support to applications implemented at client sites. Debug and fix existing software programs, develop new software programs and implement customization features at client sites.

Keep the applications up and running whenever incidents are raised by clients within SLAs defined.

Respond to emergency callouts, provide first‑level diagnosis of problems and elevate as required.

Monitor incident tickets raised in the Cardzone support portal and work closely on open tickets until the issues are resolved.

Support multiple clients at a time and work independently, taking responsibility for incident support.

Learn and apply domain knowledge in Payments, POS, ATM, Financial Switching into software code deliverables.

Communicate with different parties from varied backgrounds (e.g., business users, IT staff, third‑party vendors) when handling incidents.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
  • Knowledge in HTML and CSS.
  • Knowledge of database servers such as Oracle, DB2, MySQL, etc.
  • Knowledge of web application servers such as WebSphere, OC4J, JBoss, Tomcat, etc.
  • Knowledge of Unix Shell Commands.
  • Knowledge of card management or payment systems, ISO8583, NDC+ is an advantage.
  • Strong technical, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Team player with leadership and mentoring capability (Senior position).
  • Willingness to work in Bangsar South onsite and ability to travel overseas.
