Job summary

Dikshatek is seeking an experienced System & Control Manager in Kulai, Johor to lead the management and governance of critical data centre systems. You will oversee BMS, CPOS, DCIM, control & instrumentation, and NOC functions, plus vendor and budget management, CAPEX/OPEX planning, and asset lifecycle.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on OT expertise, and a track record in mission-critical facilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Instrumentation & Control, Building Services Engineering or related discipline.
  • 8-12 years of relevant experience in data centres, mission-critical facilities, or industrial control environments.
  • Proven experience managing BMS, DCIM, control systems, or similar OT platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of data centre operations, alarm management, and monitoring systems.
  • Hands-on understanding of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control, and monitoring systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage BMS, CPOS, DCIM, control & instrumentation, and NOC operations across the data centre campus.
  • Oversee system architecture, integration, testing, commissioning, and handover for facilities.
  • Ensure reliability, performance, resilience, and operational stability of critical system platforms.
  • Act as escalation point for complex faults and incidents.
  • Lead RCA and corrective/preventive actions for system-related incidents.
  • Govern system changes, upgrades, and technical change management.
  • Manage annual CAPEX and OPEX planning, budget control, forecasting, and lifecycle investments.
  • Develop business cases and provide financial governance for system upgrades.
  • Manage vendors, system integrators, and service providers to ensure SLA/compliance.
  • Oversee asset lifecycle, configuration control, calibration, and documentation.
  • Drive data accuracy across BMS, DCIM, and analytics platforms.
  • Establish KPIs for uptime, energy efficiency, safety, and compliance.
  • Lead team performance management and succession planning.
  • Ensure 24/7 NOC monitoring and escalation processes.

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced System & Control Manager to lead the management, governance, reliability, and performance of critical systems supporting data centre operations.

The role will oversee Building Management Systems (BMS), Cooling Plant Operating Systems (CPOS), Data Centre Infrastructure Management (DCIM), control & instrumentation systems, and Network Operations Centre (NOC) functions. You will also be responsible for vendor management, CAPEX/OPEX planning, asset lifecycle management, system governance, and team performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage BMS, CPOS, DCIM, control & instrumentation, and NOC operations across the data centre campus.
  • Oversee system architecture, integration, testing, commissioning, and handover for new and existing facilities.
  • Ensure reliability, performance, resilience, and operational stability of critical system platforms.
  • Act as the escalation point for complex system faults, incidents, and abnormal operating conditions.
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions for system-related incidents.
  • Ensure effective system logic, alarms, interlocks, and monitoring strategies.
  • Govern system changes, upgrades, enhancements, and technical change management.
  • Manage annual CAPEX and OPEX planning, budget control, forecasting, and lifecycle investments.
  • Develop business cases and provide financial governance for system upgrades and new technology investments.
  • Manage vendors, system integrators, and service providers to ensure SLA and contractual compliance.
  • Oversee asset lifecycle management, configuration control, calibration, version management, and documentation.
  • Drive system integration and data accuracy across BMS, CPOS, DCIM, and analytics platforms.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs covering uptime, SLA performance, energy efficiency, safety, and compliance.
  • Lead team performance management, competency development, and succession planning.
  • Ensure effective 24/7 NOC monitoring, alarm response, escalation, and roster management.
  • Drive cost optimization, risk mitigation, continuous improvement, and operational efficiency.
  • Support audits, inspections, regulatory requirements, and corporate governance activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Instrumentation & Control, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 8-12 years of relevant experience in data centres, mission-critical facilities, or industrial control environments.
  • Proven experience managing BMS, DCIM, control systems, or similar operational technology platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of data centre operations, control systems, alarm management, and monitoring systems.
  • Hands-on understanding of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control, and monitoring systems.
  • Experience in team leadership and cross-functional stakeholder management.
  • Familiarity with BMS, DCIM, CMMS, PLC/SCADA, and data analytics tools such as Power BI.
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities.
  • Comfortable working in a 24/7 critical operations environment and supporting major incidents when required.
